There are a couple of ways to create signature groups. The first and most obvious way is to click New Signature Group in the Signature Groups list. This will present the Signature Group dialog.

The name that you would like to assign to this signature group.

To add signatures to this group, click the Browse button. As shown above, this will display a dialog listing all of the currently known signatures. To assign signatures to the group, browse through the list and place a check in the box next to each signature you would like to include.
This list can be sorted by either Category or Title; simply double-click the desired column heading.
When done, click the OK button.

When you are done, click Save and Close.
Alternate signature group creation method
After you've done a regular scan and you are viewing a list of detected signatures, you can select multiple signatures from the results by holding CTRL and selecting a few signatures. Right-click and choose Make Signature Group. You can then scan for the signatures in the signature group and then generate compliance reports from the report function.
