You can easily search for a number of different patch components contained in the top pane of Patch View. All searches are performed using the Search tool.
The Search tool contains two logic boxes. In the first box you select one of the predefined category types, and in the second box you specify the patch item you want to find. You initiate the search by pressing Enter or by clicking the search icon (
). Only those patches matching the search criteria are displayed; all other patches are hidden.
The Search tool works only on the information currently visible in the top pane.
If a Smart Filter is applied, only patches matching BOTH the search criteria and the smart filter criteria are displayed.
All partial matches are displayed. For example, if you search for products named acrobat, any product with "acrobat" in its name will be considered a match (e.g. Acrobat Distiller, Acrobat Reader, etc.).
The use of wildcards in the Search tool is not allowed.
