Configuring a Connection to the Shavlik NetChk Protect Database

If you want to be able to assign Shavlik NetChk Protect patch groups and signature groups to your Shavlik NetChk Configure policies, you must be able to connect to the Shavlik NetChk Protect database. If Shavlik NetChk Protect is available when Shavlik NetChk Configure is installed the program will automatically recognize the type and location of the Shavlik NetChk Protect database being used. You can modify this predefined information if needed.

Note: If you use Shavlik HFNetChkPro Plus (an earlier patch-only version of Shavlik NetChk Protect), simply specify your Shavlik HFNetChkPro Plus database information here. You will be able to scan for and view patch compliance information but not spyware compliance information.
