Management Team![]() Mark ShavlikPresident and CEOMark Shavlik founded Shavlik Technologies in 1993 to offer a unique, market-driven approach to security application design and development. Mark has over 20 years experience in successfully identifying market needs and building, marketing and selling innovative products and solutions, including tenure as a senior systems designer and Windows NT kernel development project leader in the Microsoft Systems group, and as an original member of the Windows NT development team under David Cutler. At Microsoft, Mark also managed Microsoft OEM relationships with Compaq, IBM and Zenith. Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin. Mark's unique combination of business and technical skills has built Shavlik Technologies into a market-leading security firm. ![]() Eric SchultzeChief Technology OfficerEric Schultze manages Shavlik's product vision and implementation. Schultze most recently served as a program manager for the Microsoft Security Response Center and a senior technologist in the Trustworthy Computing team at Microsoft Corporation. In those roles he managed the Microsoft security patch and bulletin release process and developed security solutions for Microsoft products including patch management and deployment solutions. Before joining Microsoft, Schultze co-founded Foundstone, Inc., where he directed their "Ultimate Hacking: Hands On" training program. His experiences in assessing, penetrating, and securing Microsoft technologies formed the basis of Foundstone's audit and assessment methodologies for Windows operating systems. Prior to starting Foundstone, Schultze was a senior manager in Ernst & Young's national Attack & Penetration group, where he was widely recognized as the firm's expert on Microsoft security. Eric has Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Amherst College. ![]() Dan KinsellaChief Financial OfficerDan Kinsella oversees the accounting, finance, and human resources functions at Shavlik Technologies, including financial reporting, strategic / financial planning and analysis, treasury management, and risk management. Most recently, Dan was CFO and VP Operations of Gearworks, Inc., a successful Software as a Service (“SaaS”) start up providing software and services for the mobile work force market. Previously, Dan was CFO of Datalink Corporation, where he had finance and operations roles, leading the company through a successful IPO as well as a rapid growth phase. Dan has held CFO and other finance roles for the last 20 years with other privately and publicly held companies, including Lloyds' Food Products, Grist Mill Co. and RBC Dain Rauscher. He was also an audit supervisor with Deloitte & Touche. Dan is a CPA and holds a B.A. in accounting from the University of St. Thomas. ![]() Chris SchwartzbauerVice President, Worldwide Sales and MarketingChris Schwartzbauer provides leadership, vision and direction for the sales, marketing and business development strategies of Shavlik Technologies. Chris oversees the go to market strategy, partnering, and corporate positioning for the company. Prior to joining Shavlik, Chris held executive management positions in marketing, sales and business development in public and private companies, and has 18 years experience leading sales and marketing initiatives for other security software organizations. ![]() Terry NoonanVice President, ProductsTerry Noonan manages Shavik’s long-term technology strategy and oversees the product management, engineering, and quality assurance teams. Terry brings over 20 years of experience in technical and executive level positions in the software industry. Prior to joining Shavlik, Terry served as Vice President and Chief Architect for NetApp Inc., a provider of innovative storage and data management solutions. Before that, Terry was at Symantec Corporation, where he was VP and CTO for the Security and Data Management Group. At Symantec (and at VERITAS, before it was acquired by Symantec), he was also a Fellow, Distinguished Engineer, a Technical Director and a Principal Engineer. Terry holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of Minnesota. ![]() Jason WalkerVice President, Business DevelopmentJason Walker provides leadership and manages Shavlik’s global business development initiatives. Jason has been in the information technology market for 15 years where he has held sales, management, and technical positions for Fortune 500 companies as well as start-ups. Jason has been with Shavlik since 2004 and most recently was responsible for Shavlik’s commercial sales. Jason has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from St. Olaf College. |
